Ken Kirby
Lab Director
Ken is the founder of LRI and the co-inventor of the HypoSpray technology. He leads on formulation and feasibility of system applications. He assists with inventory control, chemical acquisition, regulatory compliance and also assists with chromatography. Ken, who has extensive experieince in intitute ethics oversight chairs the Institute's IRB.
Gordon von Nehring
Quality Unit Manager
Gordon is a pharma industry veteran analytical chemist and expert on cGMP. He leads on analytics design, validation and documentation and chromatography and FT IR analysis and acts as Qualty Unit Manager for the analytical lab's work. He assists on formulation and inventory control.
William D. Kirsh, D.O.
Researcher
Bill Kirsh is a practicing Hospitalist & Hospice Physician and serves as CMO of the University of Miami Hospice by the Sea. In addition he holds the rank of Commader in the US Coast Guard Reserve, where he serves as a Ship's Medical Officer when on active duty. Bill serves on the faculty of the Nova Southeastern University Medical School as well as the UM Schmidt College of Medicine. He has been actively involved with drug delivery research for many years and until its recent vending was a principal of Sentry Data Systems, one of the largest medical data base companies in the U.S.
Chandan A.S. Alam, M.D.
Researcher
Chandan Alam is a seasoned biomedical researcher. He was Associate Director of the Department of Experiemental Pathology at the William Havey Institute, Barts and the London NHS. Chandan did foundational work on the elucidation of the Cox 2 Inhibition theory and holds seveval patents in this space. He is an expert pre-clinical scientist and has also led the Institute's efforts in Clinical research organizing and executing 5 trials. He serves LRI as CHief Science Officer.
